A brief profile of a few of our core team members would include


    Biswajit Sen (President), age 56, has been working in community based rural development projects for the last 28 years in various NGOs. He has been involved in building up PRADAN as a national level NGO, and Grameen Development Services as a field NGO for Uttar Pradesh. He has assisted different grassroots basic education projects in Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. He holds an MBA from I.I.M. Ahemadabad (1978) and has specialised in management of education projects in the last eight years. He has been Management Consultant for national and international development agencies such as Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (SDC); UNICEF, World Bank; MacArthur Foundation, India.

    Prabhat Jha (Executive Director and Secretary), is a post-graduate in Rural Management from Xavier’s Institute of Social Services (XISS), is 45 years of age and has working experience in the field of Elementary Education of more than fourteen years. He has written many children’s books in Hindi, which include ‘Aao Bacchon Khelen Khel’, ‘Bihar Ke Gauranwit Vyaktitwa’, ‘Jano Sakhi’, ‘Sikho Sakhi’ etc. and has been a member of book development committee of Jan Shiksha Nideshalay, Patna. Mr. Jha has vital exposure to Bihar Education Project (BEP) and District Resource Unit (DRU). He is also a valuable Training of Trainers (TOT) resource. He was associated with the planning of District Primary Education Programme (DPEP), Bihar and Uttar Pradesh and involved in the evaluation of alternative schooling programme of DPEP-II Districts in the year 2001.
